Unforgettable Small Group Tours from Las Vegas

An unforgettable, perfectly paced VIP experience This tour was the highlight of my entire Las Vegas trip. If you want to see both the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam in one day without feeling rushed or stuck in huge crowds, this is absolutely the way to do it.

The early start turned out to be a major advantage — we reached every stop before the big tour buses arrived, which meant peaceful views, easy photos, and time to really take everything in. The quick photo stops at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign and Seven Magic Mountains were a fun bonus and set the tone for the day.

Grand Canyon West was breathtaking beyond words. Our guide gave us plenty of time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the views from multiple angles. I upgraded to the Skywalk and I’m so glad I did — standing over that glass platform with the canyon stretching out beneath you is a once‑in‑a‑lifetime feeling.

The Hoover Dam portion was just as impressive. The included walk across the dam gave us a chance to appreciate the engineering up close, and our guide shared fascinating history and stories that made the experience even richer.

What really made the day special was the small‑group format. It felt personal, relaxed, and well‑organized from start to finish. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone had a great time.

If you’re looking for a seamless, scenic, and truly memorable adventure from Las Vegas, this VIP tour is a must. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Grand Canyon West This was a great tour! I was concerned about going to the western rim as opposed to other sections of the Grand Canyon, but it was awesome! A great view and no crowds! Plus Melony was an awesome tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and took the time to add a couple extra sight seeing stops, so we got to see big horn sheep and Joshua trees. The unlimited snacks and drinks were such a nice touch. We didn't have pickup at our hotel but it was easy enough to meet a different location and coming back Melony was super accommodating for our drop-off. A few things to consider - the bus was filled and somewhat small, so don't plan to bring lots of stuff or you will have to keep it on your lap for the whole ride. And, especially in the summer, it's hot! Consider sunscreen, hats, comfortable clothing and shoes. It's definitely a tour you can adjust to your own pace once you are at the various stops. We highly recommend this tour; it was worth it!

Max Tour to Grand Canyon / Hoover Dam I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Max Tour on the Grand Canyon / Hoover Dam tour out of Vegas! Our guide, Chad, was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the areas we visited. The itinerary was perfectly paced and we never felt rushed. The small group style made it easy to get to know the others in our group, which enhanced the trip. In addition to the breathtaking views at the Grand Canyon (and the SkyWalk, which was terrifyingly wonderful!) and the Hoover Dam, there were also stops at 7 Magic Mountain (it's like a funky colored Stonehenge!), the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, and a Joshua Tree Desert Wash. Chad knows the best spots for pics and is happy to take the pics for you, too!

The most special part of the tour for me was how private the West Rim of the Grand Canyon was. I've been to the GC with a different tour company before, but went to the South Rim, which was incredibly congested with cars, vans, buses and people. The West Rim, with Max Tour, was such a different experience with only a few other small group tour vans (not huge buses). It truly felt like we had the GC all to ourselves!

We had a light breakfast on the van and tons of drinks and snacks throughout the day. Lunch was delicious at the Grand Canyon. There were also plenty of stops along the way for bathroom breaks so it never felt like we were in the van for long periods of time.

I highly recommend this tour for a day trip out of Vegas. I'll choose Max Tour in the future for some of their other options. Many thanks to Chad for such a wonderful day!

Bucket List Visiting the National Parks has been on my bucket list for a long time - -but I was apprehensive about traveling aline after my husband passed away a few years back. I did a bunch of research and discovered Max tours. I took a deep of faith because they had so many 5 star reviews and also offered single rooms..

I was so lucky to have Ken as our guide. He was so above and beyond! He treated every guest with kindness and he is so passionate about our National Parks He was polite and informative and every single person on the tour adored him. He took us to a Mexican restaurant one evening and it was just about the best food I've ever had. Every day he tried to add additional bonus stops which was really special . If I could give him a 25 star rating, I would. We were a group of 13 and all l of the other guests made me feel so welcome. I never felt like I was all by myself. I highly recommend Max tours and I more highly recommend Ken as a guide. What a memorable journey.

My sister and I went on the Grand Canyon 12 hour tour last Wednesday, this also included stopping at the Vegas Sign, Magic Mountains Hoover Dam and other interesting spots along the way! Our tour guide Elaine was such a lovely lady full of chat energy and valuable knowledge throughout the entire trip. Highly recommended! An excellent company for this tour. The guide was punctual, professional, and very friendly. He had a variety of snacks and beverages available for the group. He explained everything in a calm and relaxed manner, without rushing, and took us to some truly wonderful places.

I made the reservation through their website without any issues. The tour was well organized, comprehensive, and enjoyable. The vehicle was clean and comfortable throughout the trip.
